Getting Started at GCC

At Genesee Community College (GCC), it is possible to earn an Associates degree (AS/AAS) in one of more than 60 different programs. 92% of recent graduates have found employment or are continuing their studies at a four-year university to earn a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree in various fields of specialization.

The degree and academic credits earned at Genesee Community College are accepted at virtually every academic institution in the United States. In addition, because GCC is part of the public university system in New York (SUNY), students can easily continue their studies at more than 30 four-year institutions in New York State to advance to the next level.


University Residence

College Village, the residence hall of Genesee Community College, is located just a two-minute walk from campus. With four newly constructed student residences and refurbished dormitories, College Village accommodates approximately 450 students.


Entertainment and sporting events

At Genesee Community College, there is something for everyone! In addition to 60 study programs, Genesee Community College offers nearly 50 campus clubs, including WGCC, a student FM radio station, the university newspaper The New Courier, the Forum Players theatre company, a pool club, a field trip club, and much more. The men's lacrosse and soccer teams won the University Athletic Association National Junior Championship in 2016 and 2017, respectively. In addition, GCC offers a men's baseball and basketball team; women's basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball and lacrosse teams; and mixed golf, swimming and diving teams.


Choose your career

CCG offers a full range of more than 60 study programs designed to meet a wide range of career needs. The fashion industry program offers specializations in design, e-commerce, event planning and business management. All academic programs offered by Genesee Community College, including diplomas and courses in business and management, computer science, creative arts, health care, human services, law and criminal justice, liberal arts, math and science, technology and administrative support, sports and physical education education have been approved by the State University of New York and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
